France is closed on a Sunday it seems

We're all really struggling to adjust the body clocks - mind you Nate seemed to sleep well last night.  We were awake at 5 and breakfasted and ready to leave by 6.30.  Boy oh boy the temperature bottomed out overnight - the car was iced up even.  We didn't put the heater on before sleep which was a big mistake - It will be on tonight for sure.

We're changing camps again today, moving up to Normandy to be right close to the D Day landing beaches.  Because we were ready to go at daylight we decided to take a big dog leg to go and have a look at the Abbey Mont St Michel.  We saw it last year on the TV during the Tour de France and decided then we needed to put it on the list of things to see.

We were on the big motorways today complete with toll booths - I think we went through 4 in total.  Each one seemed to be a different price and I think it was about 20 euros all up.   We couldn't get really close to it - very odd set up there but we got a good look from the distance anyways.

We stopped for lunch at a Maccas and then got to our campsite at St Aubin Sur Mer.  Was funny getting into the campsite - we were on a main road and then all of a sudden sent down this tiny crappy back road that eventually opened up to this beautiful little town.  This is when we confirmed that pretty much nothing is open on a Sunday - I thought Adelaide was a little backwards in that way but seems were not unique.

This campsite is much bigger than the last - complete with indoor pool, jumping castles, rollerskating rink and basketball courts.  As everything is shut we had no choice but to have takeaway from the little restaurant - was some tragic version of roast chicken.  Not good.

We were limited in choice for wine today but we found a very nice Bordeaux. Well Tony says hes liking the Bordeaux!
