Rest day

After our long day yesterday we decided to have a quiet day today.  While in Rome yesterday our camera was playing up badly so we decided to purchase a new one.  We use the compact a lot so wanted to get another with a big zoom.  We did our research and decided on a couple of options.  Nate and I were going to the shopping centre to get lunch so thought we might take advantage of our duty free status to get another.

Nate and I took off at about 11 and decided to go on the public bus.  Supposedly we needed to purchase a ticket on board and then get it validated on board.  Well the getting on the bus was easy but the bus was so full we couldn't get near any of the ticket machines to do anything.  We only had to 4 stops so before we knew it we were there, sans tickets.  We went to the electronic store but their range of cameras was rubbish so we didn't buy.  So instead we went to the supermarket to buy our lunches.

We had a restful afternoon waiting for 7pm to roll around so we could go out for dinner.  The local pizzeria and trattoria only opens at 7 and we really wanted to try the food so we had to wait.  Thank god we did; the food was amazing.

Gratefully they had an English menu as there were so many options to choose from.  It was really hard to choose but we all settled on something different.  Tony's calzone came first, followed by Nate's pasta.  Then Tony's entrée came and finally my gnocchi.   We've eaten some fabulous food on this trip and tonight's was no different.  When we got there we were the only people there.  When we left there were a few groups there and it was so noisy - just awesome!  We all walked away  completely stuffed and planning what to have tomorrow night.
